CHESTER THE CLOWN PT. 1
This is Chest the Clown, my newest model. He is a killer clown who doesn't know if he wants to kill anymore, but its all he knows, can he quit killing? Who knows, we'll have to wait and see.
AT NIGHT
These are pictures of houses and roads at night that I have taken. Some of them I have edited to feel like they are from the movie Hereditary.
SWEET CREATURE BY HARRY STYLES
I named this collection Sweet Creature because it gave me the same vibes as the Harry Styles song named Sweet Creature. My original idea was to photograph random objects being used in a different way, but as I was laying out all of my stuff it reminded me of a picnic. So, I decided to use these old items and give them life again. I decided to use hotdogs and milk to give it a comedic element. The stuff I used is all very old and most of the toys used are ones I played with during my childhood, so these pictures are very nostalgic for me.
If you look at it in its certain order, the picnic becomes destroyed and that is indicating that my childhood is over.
ALBUM COVERS
This is a collection of 35mm film images. I processed and developed the film on my own. The two images of the girl give me pop punk album cover vibes and the two of the boy would be for an indie album. Each one of the images was manipulated in some sort of way.
GHOST TOWN BY KANYE WEST
For this project I wanted to show what I've felt like during the first few months of Covid. I chose to photograph abandoned places because I had to abandon my whole life and move back home during the pandemic, and now I feel like I have abandoned my home life to come back to school. I chose the ghost to represent my past self-taunting me, while I am trying to move on. I used a blue/green coloring for these images to represent the sadness. I also saw it on TikTok and thought I would try it out.
GLITCH
I don't know if it was an SD card glitch or if my crappy computer just couldn't run photoshop, but whatever it was it produced to interesting images. I love what it did to these boring pictures I took from a beach trip.
ABANDONED
These images are from the old Katterjohn building in Paducah, KY. This building had been marked with graffiti on almost every square inch.
APPLEVALLEY HILLBILLY GARDEN AND TOYLAND
This was the coolest place I have ever been to! It is located in Calvert City, KY. It is run by a wacky man. Every installation has a punny name.
DEATH WISHES
This is my family. My uncle is dying of cancer, so we had a benefit for him, I thought this would be the perfect example of intimacy. I edited these to look like I took them on a point and shoot camera. I decided to collage them together because the six images I chose just didn't tell the story well enough. I really enjoyed this shoot because I think it made me closer to my family, my camera broke the awkward barrier I have always felt with this side of my family. This was all taken during the time of Covid, but living in a rural Illinois town, the standards for safety are different.
GLAMOUR SHOTS
For this project I recreated my mom’s glamour shots, but instead of copying them exactly, I made a new background that suits my vibes more and in one of the photos I did a signature pose. I thought it would be cool to recreate these because my mom took her glamour shots around the age I am right now.
CHEMIGRAMS AND PHOTOGRAMS
This is some experimental photography processes I did for a class for Murray State University.
RANDOM IMAGES
Here are some images that I have made that I am proud of, but they aren't a particular collection.
